Trafalgar Square---.In the heart of London, the square was laid out in 1829 to 1841 to commemorate the Nelsonfs victory over Napoleon in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Dominating the square, on top of a column stands a statue of Nelson, and around the base sit four giant lions

We started the second morning with visiting Trafalgar Square.
We walked from Charing Cross station to get to there. At a glance,
I was impressed by its solemnity. A monumental column standed up high in the center of the square and people enjoyed to walk about.

I had never seen in Tokyo such a square open to the public. I felt a difference of the senses the nations had about the construction of the cities.
